Depression is known as a common mental disorder that presents with loss of interest in daily activities, low energy, disturbed sleep, abnormal eating, lonliness, self harm, bad thoughts and poor concentration.

People of any age can suffer from depression.

Depression in youngsters or teenagers is known as a serious mental health problem. Depression in youngsters can affect their whole life, their mental and physical health.
It affects how they feel, behave and feel.

Depression in youngsters can also cause them serious emotional and physical health problems, and its result can be a disaster.

Depression in youngsters can be caused by many reasons. Some of them are as follows :

  1. Family pressure
  2.  Serious health problems (Mental or Physical)
  3. Financial issues
  4. Work issues
  5. Lonliness
  6. Break up
  7. Being overweight or being too skinny
  8. Poor lifestyle
  9. Bullying
  10. Relationship difficulties
Depression in youngsters or Depression in teenagers is very common. In fact many of them lose hope in everything, they think and plan to end their own life or wait for the time when they will be gone forever. Because such youngsters and teenagers almost give up on life because of the things they can`t control.

They feel no way out of this, they solitude themselves and even try to hide their feelings.

 Unhappy life, health problems, poverty, lack of love, lonliness, family pressure, bullying in teenagers, relationship difficulties, being overweight are the major reasons for depression in youngsters and depression in teenagers.

Depression in youngsters or teen depression is common but it is not a small thing, in fact it is a very serious issue because depressed youngsters and teenagers also lose their life because of depression.

Complications Of  Depression In Youngsters

Depression is one kind of a monster which can result in emotional, behavioral, mental and physical health problems. And it affects the life of youngsters and teenagers very badly.

Complications related to depression in youngsters may include :
  1. Alcohol and drug misuse
  2. Relationship and family conflicts
  3. Thoughts and attempts of taking one`s own life
  4. Mental and physical health problems
  5. Academic problems
How To Get Out Of Depression ?

Now we know what is depression, we also know the main causes for depression as i have listed them above.
But how do you prevent depression in youngsters or how do you get out of it ?

I won`t say that there is no sure way to prevent or get out of depression, especially in youngsters and teenagers. But yes sometimes it gets very difficult for some people to get out of depression or prevent depression.

But still you can prevent depression if you try your best to get out of it.

First of all  you have to accept that there are many people who are suffering from depression or stress or mental and physical health problems or many other problems. The thing is, some of them hide their problems well and some of them show their problems and keep crying about them.

Some people dwell in sadness and depression and some people fight depression and start living their life by facing all the problems and hurdles coming their way.

I believe that if you have a family or any kind of support from anyone, if you have someone in your life with whom you can share your thoughts your problems. In that case there are some chances that you can get out depression.

Depressed people or depressed youngsters and teenagers usually need others to understand them and accept them the way they are.

I would like to say that talk to someone about the real reason that is causing you depression, you might get a help. Try to do things you like. Interact with people in real or on the social media, watch motivational videos, read about those people who were depressed but they fought with it and now they are living a happy normal life.

Start a new hobby, buy your favorite pet, spend time with kids or people you like. go out shopping.
Find a job or start your own business, make a youtube channel, start writing, start singing or painting. Do what you like.

Trust me, staying busy and doing what you like can help you in getting out of depression.
Do not compare yourself with others. You are special and unique in your own way.

Youngsters, teenagers and other people who seem very happy, rich and satisfied with life can also be depressed or get depressed sometimes.

We all are going through something in life but that doesn`t mean that you give up on life and lose hope of living happily.

The truth is no one is going to fight for you or live this life for you, you have to get up, fight for what you want, find out the solutions for your problems which is causing you depression and stop giving up.

Just give it a try instead of sitting alone or crying over the life you are living.
People who are successful in this world, work hard for themselves to survive and make their dreams come true.

To get something in life or to get what you want, you will have to take risk, stand up and work for your dreams.

Just do it, do what you love,  and you will see that one day you will be glad that you stood up for yourself and you will be living a happy life :)

When To See Doctor ?

Youngsters or teenagers with depression, if feel that the signs and symptoms of depression still continue even after trying hard to prevent or to get out of depression, in that case you might need to see your doctor.

If you think you cannot prevent depression no matter how hard you try and you keep thinking about ending your own life, or stay depressed all the time. Please don`t wait and visit your doctor. May be a proper counselling and proper medication can really help you.
