Pregnancy Week By Week

What happens during week 1 to 2 ?

Pregnancy week 1 to 2

First and second week are the first two weeks of  your menstrual cycle. You have your period almost about 2 weeks later, the egg, which is the most matured egg in your ovary is released during this period of time. Which is called Ovulation.

Ovulation can happen very early or later, it depends on the length of your menstrual cycle.
Usually the menstrual cycle is about 28 days.

Later when the egg is released from your ovary, The egg travels down your fallopian tube toward your uterus. During this procedure, if the egg meets up with a sperm, they both combine together. And this is called fertilization.
Fertilization mostly occurs unprotected vaginal sex.

Pregnancy week 3 to 4

During week 3 to 4 the fertilized egg moves down your fallopian tube and divided into a load of cells. After 3 to 4 days of fertilization it reaches your uterus. Those divided cells then form a ball that moves inside the uterus for 2 to 3 days.

Later, pregnancy begins when the ball of cells attaches to the lining of your uterus. Which is called implantation. It usually starts about 6 days after fertilization and it takes about 3 to 4 days to complete this procedure.

When an egg is fertilized by a sperm, there are no 100% chances that the pregnancy will happen. More than half of all fertilized eggs pass out of your body during the time of your periods, before implantation is complete.
